How to Clean a KaterGames Mousepad
Our KaterGames Gaming Mousepads are easy to clean. On this page, we want to introduce two methods to help you restore your KaterGames Gaming Mousepad to its maximum brightness.
Washing Machine
Yes, we're serious. The easiest way to clean our mousepads is by putting them in the washing machine.
- 30°C washing program
- Preferably use a gentle cycle with low or no spinning
- Regular laundry detergent
- Hang on a clothesline to dry
That's it. Once the mousepad is dry again, it will shine like new. Even the water-repellent coating should remain intact.
Hand Wash
The slightly more labor-intensive option is hand washing. Due to the size of our gaming mousepads, it's best to use the bathtub. Fill it with about 30-40°C warm water until the mousepad is well covered. Add some laundry detergent to the water and mix it around a bit.
Now, simply rub the surface of the pad thoroughly with your hands. Please do not use kitchen sponges or brushes, as they will unfortunately remove the water-repellent coating.
Rinse the pad thoroughly afterward to avoid unsightly detergent marks.
Drying
For drying your mousepad, the easiest way is to use a clothesline. As a precaution, you might want to place a towel underneath to catch any water dripping from the mousepad.
IMPORTANT When hanging the pad to dry, be sure not to hang it in too tight curves or with folds. This will affect its lying properties later. The easiest way is to hang it on the clothesline across 3-4 bars simultaneously or lay it flat on the clothesline.
